The purchase of a new phone is an exciting one. Moving from what appears to be an old and useless piece of technology to this freshly unboxed masterpiece. The feeling of this purchase can be overwhelming, although it is shortly followed by a feeling of worry. This is due to the process which lays ahead of transferring data from your old mobile phone over to your new one. If you're transferring the data from one iPhone to the other, that's no problem at all.
However, if you have a LG phone and have to transfer contacts from LG to iPhone 7 Plus, things get complex. This is because these are two very different platforms and because of that, you risk data corruption and losing data. This is where dr.fone – Switch and dr.fone – Android Transfer comes in. With dr.fone, you are able to overcome these risks and transfer the data straight over to your new device without running into any issues, so let's take a look at some of the transfer methods available.
Part 1. Transfer Contacts from LG to iPhone 7 Plus with dr.fone – Switch
This first method which we are going to take at allows you to transfer all of the contacts from your old LG device over to your new iPhone 7 Plus in just a few minutes.
Step #1 – Start off by downloading and installing the dr.fone program. Once installed, go ahead and launch it.
Step #2 – Once you have dr.fone open, Select the “Switch” option and connect both the LG device and your iPhone 7 Plus to your computer using USB cables.
Step #3 – A display will appear on your screen. Click on the box located under the second device, and select “iPhone 7 “, which will set it as the target device.
Step #4 – You will then be prompted to select the different types of data that you'd like to have transferred to your iPhone 7 Plus. For this method it is only required that you select the “Contacts” data type, although feel free to select any of the others.
Note: if the target device already has data stored on it and you'd like it to be completely wiped before the data is transferred, select the “Clear data before copy” box.
Step #5 – Depending on how many contacts you are transferring the process should only take a few moments. Once it has completed, you can now access all of your contacts on your new device.
If you are looking to have all of your contacts transferred from your device, then this method is for you, although if you only want certain contacts to be transferred, then the next method may be what you are looking for.
Part 2. Selectively Transfer Contacts from LG to iPhone 7 Plus with dr.fone -Transfer
The previous method covered how you can transfer contacts from LG to iPhone 7 Plus, although selectively transferring your contacts wasn't a possibility. With this method, you are able to use the same program in order to selectively transfer your contacts.
Step #1 – If you haven't already done so, then download and install the dr.fone program. Once you have it installed, go ahead and launch it, Select “Transfer” option before moving on.
Step #2 – Connect both the LG device as well as your iPhone 7 Plus to your computer using USB cables. dr.fone should detect this connection within a few seconds.
Step #3 – At the top left of the program, click on the white arrow and select the LG device. Following that, select the “Information” tab located on the top panel.
Step #4 – On the left panel, select “Contacts“. All of the contacts which you have stored on the LG device will then be displayed.
Step #5 – Take a few moments to go through your contacts and select the contacts which you'd like to have transferred over to your new iPhone 7 Plus.
Step #6 – Below the top panel, click on the “Export” option, hover over the “to Device” option, and lastly click on the “iPhone 7 Plus” option which is shown.
Step #7 – The transfer process should only take a few moments although it depends on how many contacts you are transferring. Once the process is complete, you have now successfully been able to transfer contacts from LG to iPhone 7 Plus.
Our devices fill up with more and more useless data over time and when we finally notice that, we postpone clearing up some of that data. When you get a new phone, it is the perfect time to get rid of some unnecessary data. Selectively transferring your contacts is the place to start.
Both of the methods which we took a look at today use dr.fone, a very useful program which is perfect for all of your data management needs. While that's the case, dr.fonehas a lot more to offer, so let's take a look at it.
Rooting Your Device. If you went in the opposite direction and instead got an Android device, then as with all mobile phones you will be limited to what you can do on the device. With dr.fone – Root, you are able to root your device and gain deeper access to your device, allowing you to use it as you please. Furthermore, dr.fone takes care of the entire process.
App Management. When you get a notification on your device that your storage is reaching its capacity, it can be a pain to deal with, especially having to manually delete some of your applications individually. With dr.fone, you are able to take control of this by installing, uninstalling, importing, and backing up, any of your applications and to better that, you can do multiple at once.
As you can see, dr.fone goes much further beyond the limitations of only being able to transfer contacts from LG to iPhone 7 Plus, Copy Music from Mac/PC to iPhone 7 Plus and if you don't already have a copy of the program, you should get yourself one.
