The first method that we're going to be showing you is with Dr.Fone – iOS Data Backup & Restore. This is without a doubt the best program to use when you're looking at how to import photos from iPhone X to PC for a lot of reasons, including all of the other features which are included in the program.

Before you follow the short guide that we've provided you with below, make sure that Dr.Fone is downloaded and that you have it installed. After doing so, you're ready to begin.

Step #1 – After you have the program installed, connect your iPhone X using the appropriate USB cable and launch Dr.Fone – iOS Data Backup & Restore.

The next program on our list is FoneTrans, another fantastic program which you should look at when you're importing data. While this program doesn't contain as many features as the Dr.Fone toolkit for iOS, it's definitely worth looking into and taking advantage of.

Before following the steps below, make sure that you have downloaded and installed FoneTrans on your computer.

Step #1 – Start by launching FoneTrans on your computer and connecting the iPhone that contains the photos that you want to import.


Step #2 – FoneTrans should quickly detect your iPhone and once it has, please select your iPhone X from the left panel, and click on the “Photos” data type.

Step #3 – After clicking on “Photos”, you will be able to see the different albums which are currently stored on your phone.


Step #4 – Take a few minutes to go through your photos and select any of the ones which you want to import from iPhone X to PC.

Step #5 – Once you have all of your photos selected, click on the “Export to” option at the top of the program and select a file location where you want the photos to be saved to.

Part 3. How to Import Photos from iPhone X to Windows 7/8 Using AutoPlay

In this method, you don't need a special program to learn how to import photos from iPhone X to PC. In fact, we're going to be using the Windows AutoPlay feature for importing your photos. If you're on Windows 10, then don't worry, simply use the next again method for importing your photos.

Step #1 – First you must make sure that you have AutoPlay enabled on your computer. To do this, open up the Control Panel, click on “Hardware and Sound” followed by “AutoPlay“, and lastly enabled the “Use AutoPlay for all media devices” option. Click on “Save” to save your changes.


Step #2 – Now, connect your iPhone to your computer using a lightning cable.

Step #3 – After Windows has detected that your device has been connected you should see an “AutoPlay” box appear on your screen. From the AutoPlay menu, click on the “Import pictures and videos” option.


Step #4 – You will then be given a choice to import all of your photos and videos or just specific content.

Step #5 – Click on “More Options” and select a file location where you want to have your photos imported to.

Note: if you don't select a save location, your photos will by default be saved in your “My Pictures” folder.

Even though this isn't an effective method and might take you longer than using either Dr.Fone or FoneTrans, it gets the job done. Now, not everyone has Windows 7 or 8 installed on their computers, since the release of Windows 10, but fortunately, there is a similar method for Windows 10 computers.

Part 4. How to Import Photos from iPhone X to Windows 10 Using the Photo App

As we mentioned above, not everyone has Windows 7, or Windows 8 installed on their computers, and nowadays, most of us use Windows 10. If this sounds like you, don't worry – you are still able to learn how to import photos from iPhone X to PC without programs like Dr.Fone or FoneTrans.

Step #1 – By default, the Windows 10 Photos application is already enabled. Simply connect your iPhone to the computer and if the app doesn't launch, search for it in the search bar.


Step #2 – After the Photos app is open on your computer, take a minute to select all of the photos which you want to have imported.

Note: using the photos app will show you all of the photos that are on your iPhone, regardless of whether they are in albums or not.

Step #3 – Once the photos that you want to have imported have been selected click on the import icon at the top-right of the window.


Step #4 – A notification box will then appear. From here, you can select the file location that you want to the photos to be saved to.

Note: if you want to, you can also have the photos deleted from your iPhone once they have been imported. Simply check the “Delete imported items from Apple iPhone after importing” box.

Step #5 – After you have selected a file location, click on the “Import” button to proceed.


Step #6 – Lastly, once the transfer process is complete you will be able to find your photos wherever you had chosen to import them to.

Again, using this kind of method definitely isn't as effective as Dr.Fone or FoneTrans, but if you don't have access to these programs, then this method will get the job done.
