Also, you may encounter “iPhone Won't Send Picture Message” or “Photos Won't Delete from iPhone” issue, click them to find the fixes.

Fortunately, this isn't the worst problem with iPhones since there are a lot of common reasons for this happening and as a result, we have a wide range of different fixes for you to try. So, if you ever experience the “my iPhone 6 won't turn on” problem, go through each of the fixes below.

Fix #1to “My iPhone 6 Won't Turn On” – Make Sure Your iPhone is Fully Charged

Let's start with one of the most common fixes. You might be thinking that this is a silly thing to mention but believe it or not, a lot of iPhone users forget that their mobile phone relies on battery power. If you recently bought your iPhone and it's reasonably new, you might find that even though the device said there was 30% left, it will still run out of battery. This is normal and is nothing to worry about – this is because the iPhone hasn't been turned on before.

If you've been charging your iPhone and it still won't turn on, try a different lightning cable. If you have been charging it using a wall socket, perhaps try charging it using your computer. This will determine if there is an issue with the charging source or if it's the mobile phone. It's always worth trying a different lightning cable.

Fix #2 to “My iPhone 6 Won't Turn On”

 – Perform a Hard Restart

Next, try performing a hard reset. A hard reset is incredibly easy to do, and you don't need to worry about losing any of your personal data. On top of that, you can take care of it from your iPhone and don't require a computer.

iPhone 6 and lower. To perform a hard reset, simply hold both the Power and Home buttons consecutively for a minimum of 10 seconds. When the Apple logo appears on the display you can let go.

iPhone 7 and higher. If you are using iPhone 7/7S Plus, please follow up this step. To perform a hard reset, instead, hold both the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time for a minimum of 10 seconds. Again, when the Apple logo appears, you can let go of them.

This has found to be one of the most common working fixes so if your iPhone 6 won't turn on, and this is the fix that is most likely to fix the problem.

Fix #3 to “My iPhone 6 Won't Turn On”

 – Use DFU Mode to Restore iPhone Factory Settings

If none of the methods that we've shown you so far has worked, DFU mode may fix the “my iPhone 6 won't turn on” issue for you.

Before we show you the steps required to use DFU mode, we must warn you that in doing so you will be completely removing all of the data that is currently stored on the iPhone. As a result, this is an unpopular method to use for fixing the issue.

You'll be required to use iTunes for this method so if you don't have it installed at the moment, go ahead and download it now.

Step #1 – Start by connecting your lightning cable to your computer and launching iTunes when you're ready to begin.

Note: it's crucial that you don't yet connect your iPhone, just the lightning cable.

Step #2 – Next, you must enter your device into DFU mode.

Step #3 – To enter DFU mode, hold down the “Home” key on your device and after a few seconds, connect the lightning cable to your iPhone. Continue to hold the Home button, and after a few seconds, the iTunes logo should appear on the device's display.

Step #4 – Once the iTunes logo has appeared, iTunes should quickly detect that there is an issue with the iPhone and will provide you with some options to fix it.

Step #5 – Either click on “Restore” or “Update”, we suggest clicking “Restore“, and let iTunes take care of the rest.

This method might be confusing but once you've used it, you should see a positive result. If your iPhone 6 still doesn't turn on then not a problem, we still have two more reliable methods to show you.

Fix #4 to “My iPhone 6 Won't Turn On”

 – Restore iPhone with iTunes

Now, if you've managed to charge your iPhone and you are shown a charging screen while it's plugged in, but the device still won't turn on, you have to use iTunes to help you out with this one. Unfortunately, using this method will result in all of your personal data being lost.

On the bright side, if you take regular data backups (which all mobile phone users should do), then after using this method you will be able to restore the backup quickly.

Before following the steps before, make sure that you have downloaded iTunes and that it is installed on your computer and ready to go.

Step #1 – Start off by launching iTunes on your computer, and connecting your iPhone using an appropriate USB cable.

Step #2 – Once iTunes has recognized your device, you're ready to proceed. Click on the “Summary” button on the left panel, and from here, you'll be able to view all of the information about your iOS device.

Step #3 – Under the iOS version on the right side of iTunes, click on “Restore iPhone“.

Step #4 – A confirmation popup will appear to make sure that you want to have your iPhone restored. Click on “Restore“.

Step #5 – After a few minutes (possibly longer if you have a lot of files stored on your device), iTunes will have completely wiped your iPhone, and you should once again have access to it.

As with Fix #3, this might not be an ideal fix as you will lose all of your private data, but in the end, if you can't turn your iPhone on then you won't have access to that data anyway. If none of the other fixes have worked thus far, perhaps this is the fix for you.

Step #4 – Next, you must put your iPhone into DFU mode to proceed.

Note: if you aren't sure on how to enter DFU mode then either follow the guides which are shown, or refer back to “Fix #3” where we explained how to do so in detail.

Step #5 – After your device is in DFU mode then the program will take you to the next display. On this display, you are required to enter some information about your iOS device.

Step #6 – Once you've entered the details that are required (e.g. the iPhone model, current iOS version, etc.), click on the “Download” button in the middle of the screen.

Note: it's incredibly important that you insert the correct details. Inserting the wrong details will result in the wrong firmware being installed and your device possibly being unusable.
